We had a crew of 2 on a very fast boat! They were both friendly and very knowledgeable in regards to marine life. They not only ensure your safety throughout the trip but also regale you with captivating stories of the hidden treasures and mystical creatures that call these waters home.
Whale Tales
Our knowledgeable crew know all the secret spots for the best sea life encounters. They knew exactly how to spot them and when and where to wait. We were able to see so many humpback whales. They were on point with every turn, we even saw an official whale watching tour boat sail away just minutes short of a beautiful show of majestic humpback whales breaching the surface for a jaw-dropping sight. Right then, we knew we made the right decision by chartering a private tour, rather than a standard jam packed tour with strangers.
The Encounter with Honu – Hawaii’s Beloved Turtles
The snorkeling was okay, not because of where they took us, but just because of the bay. Don’t expect Fiji or Tahiti level coral and marine life. But they did take us to 2 spots that were incredible and not overcrowded, and that’s where our adventure picked up.
What’s an adventure in Hawaii without meeting the local celebrities, he honu (green sea turtles)? We were able to swim right next to a beautiful sea turtle for several minutes. What a magical experience! Well worth the trip in my opinion. To Find these gentle giants gliding gracefully beneath you, they leave you spellbound by their serene presence.
Great Gear
The crew provided top-tier clean and well-maintained snorkeling gear as well as soft drinks and water. You are also able to pack your own food or drinks to take along with you. If you embark on their 4-hour Sunset Tour you have access to their Tiki Bar.
I wore my favorite J Crew bikini. The French Bikini Top in navy is hard to beat. It looks good, it’s rugged, it’s great for active events but doesn’t look athletic-y.
